Perkins legislation outlines that the use of funds must fall into two categories: Required and Permissive. The nine required uses of funds and the permissive uses with samples of expenditures may be found here. Documentation is needed at the local level (Central Office) which justifies the nine required uses of the funds. The district must meet the required uses of funds, not each school.
