Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities
Publicly-funded community services for Kentuckians with behavioral health and developmental and intellectual disabilities are provided through Kentucky's 14 regional mental health and mental retardation (MHMR) boards. Regional boards are private, nonprofit organizations established by statute and serve residents of a designated multi-county region.
