The Kentucky Board of Education is a statewide leader in focusing the efforts of adolescent literacy in the Kentucky Department of Education, local districts and middle and high schools across the Commonwealth.  The KBE is committed to all secondary students reaching proficiency in reading and writing and to all secondary students performing at high levels through quality teaching and administration and a strong and supportive environment.
